Aachen Cathedral is the Episcopal Church of the Diocese of Aachen.
As a place of prayer, contemplation and reflection, it is open daily from 7 am to 7 pm, and from 1 January 2023 until 6 pm.
Church services
The celebration of the liturgy is of great importance in Aachen Cathedral.
In the following table you will find an overview of the regular services.

Ecumenical meditation: Every Wednesday and Friday, a quarter-hour midday meditation with word and music contributions is offered in the St. Nicholas Chapel at 1:30 pm.
Confession: A weekly offer of confession is offered on Saturdays from 3:30 to 5 pm.
Vespers: Evening praise in the cathedral – classically celebrated as vespers with psalms, hymns and chants (on high feasts with sacramental blessing) – concludes the Sunday at 6 pm.
